Dissertation

My dissertation was titled 'Can Freedom and Choice exist in games or are events and actions always pre-determined?'. It explored the concept of the type of choice given to players in console games and how much freedom they are actually offered.  I was given a 1st for the essay.  If you would like to read the Dissertation please send me an email from my contacts page and I will forward it to you.

Work Placement

I will be going on a 1 week work placement at the end of July with Double Six Games Studio in Guildford.


Result!

I am very pleased to say I now officially have an BA Honours Degree in Computer Game Design!

Bellis Perennis - X48 Game Camp


In March 2009 myself and a team of 3 others attended the X48 Game Camp at the University of Derby.  We were asked to create a game for XNA in just under 48 Hours based on the subject of Charles Darwin, given at the start of the competiton.  We decided to base our game around a fragile ecosystem which you have to maintain.  More information about X48 and Bellis Perennis (including a demo video and a downloadable version of the game) can be found at:
